The mother of the former police officer who carried out the massacre in a children's care center last week says she is deeply sorry for what her son did.


She intends to contact each family to personally offer her apologies.


In a short video message she said she did not attend the funerals because she was so upset.


Doctors say they felt that shared grief, funeral rites and religious ceremonies played an important part in the healing process for those affected. 

 

The government says: Laws on gun ownership and banned narcotics will be strictly enforced to help reduce the problems of gun violence and drug abuse.  


A new amnesty law will allow people to hand in illegal firearms without facing any legal prosecution. 

 

Health authorities have begun vaccinating youngsters aged between 6 months and 5 years against Covid 19.

Police announced the seizure of 11.6 million speed pills, 50 kilogrammes of ketamine, 2kg of methamphetamine plus 1.5 million baht worth of assets in  two drug cases. 


Two drug couriers were among a group of Hmong tribal men detained on Sing Buri- Lop Buri they said they and another driver were paid 200 thousand baht to move drugs from the north to Saraburi. and another arrest was made in Tak province following a car chase after a truck drove through a police checkpoint.

survivors and family members gathered in Bali yesterday to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the 2002 Bali bombings.  They placed  20 flowers and lit 20 candles at a monument to mark the anniversary.

 

Myanmar: Aung San Suu Kyi has been sentenced to a further two terms of three years in prison on 2 charges of accepting a bribes, 


Suu Kyi called the accusations against her absurd and denied any wrongdoing. she has now been jailed for a total of 26 years in 14 cases and still faces numerous additional charges.
