A man was arrested last  night after he grabbed former leader of the Future Forward Party Mr Thanathorn by the neck and claimed he had a bomb, Mr Thanathorn managed to get out of the neck hold, while security apprehended the man, no explosives were found. 


The incident happened while Mr Thanathorn was signing an autograph at the National Book Expo at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center in Bangkok.

 

The leader of the PHEU THAI PARTY said it would never join in a coalition if it meant General Prayut  would see his rule continue beyond the next general election.  However, it might    consider joining  a coalition ahead of next year's election.

 

A Thai actor known as Tono has raised over 60 million baht during a charity swim across the Mekong river at Nakhon Phanom. The 15 kilometer swim took around 7 hours, Tono was greeted by crowds at the Laos side before the return swim. Funds will be used to buy medical equipment at two hospitals one in Laos and the other Nakhon Phanom.  

 

A man who kept seven pit bull dogs at his house has died after being at  tacked by at least one of the animals, rescuers found the man lying in a pool of blood, at his home in Nakon Ratchasima, they attempted to carry out CPR without success, 

 

The coast road that subsided in phuket leading to patong was reopened to pedestrians yesterday, however it remains closed to traffic.


Authorities estimate the road may be reopened to traffic in about a week.
