Its quite clear that both sides took the talks seriously

Read your own posts!

You stated in an earlier post;

"BUT , I cannot prove what people were thinking at the time .

   Things like that cannot be proven, pointless asking really"

I rest my case!

The USA/ SK war games , where they practice invading North Korea is viewed as provocation by NK and they respond by firing missiles as a warning .

   If the USA would stop practicing invading NK , NK would stop firing their missiles .

  That is the plot , its you who doesn't understand the plot

Could you be anymore obvious?  Only North Korea claims the military exercises are practice for an invasion.

Well yes , that is what Kim thinks and his opinion is the thing of importance .

   Only the  USA military can say what their intentions are , if NK were to fire a rocket that hit the USA , then its likely that the USA would retaliate by invading N.K and that's what the practice is for

Kim thinks that tyrants stay in control by having a powerful military, and in order to justify spending on such a military while your people are starving, it is useful to have an invented enemy.

Although South Korea and the USA being an enemy isn't really an invention , although he does seem to exaggerate the threat to the North Korean people , not too dissimilar to how Western Governments exaggerate the Russian/Chinese/Muslim  threat (to Western Nations)

South Korea and the US are enemies to North Korea only because North Korea insists on making them enemies.  Neither S.K. or the US have any desire to invade North Korea.  South Korea isn't to keen on reunifying the countries because the cost of pulling North Korea out of desperate poverty and backwardness would be astronomical.

Kim Jong Un knows this.  He proclaims South Korea and the US are mortal threats to North Korea because he needs an external enemy to justify his reign.
