webfact
Picture: Thai Rath Chief of the Narcotics Control Board Wanchai Chaimongkhol said yesterday that officers of the AITF (Airport Interdiction Task Force) had found drugs in cushion covers bound for Australia at a depot at Suvarnabhumi on Thursday. The crystal meth was laced in the lining of 11 covers in two separate packages. Authorities had been alerted to the fact that the products were heavier and more rigid than they should be and there were irregularities with the manifest. A total of 13.94 kilos of what the Thais call "ice" was discovered. Picture: Thai Rath The sender and the receiver are known to police and the Australian Federal Police have been contacted. In the last fiscal year Wanchai said there had been 22 cases of drugs being sent to Australia in all manner of ways to fool the authorities, reported Thai Rath. Sending in this manner is economical for the drugs gangs. There have been two arrests - a Thai and a Singaporean - in these cases. -- © Copyright ASEAN NOW 2022-11-05 - Cigna offers a range of visa-compliant plans that meet the minimum requirement of medical treatment, including COVID-19, up to THB 3m.
