Popular Post webfact
The Russian Embassy informed the Thai Foreign Ministry Thursday that President Vladimir Putin will not attend the upcoming APEC leaders meeting on 18th and 19th November 2022. First Deputy Prime Minister Andrei Belousov will represent him at the meeting in Bangkok. Putin had earlier pledged to come to Bangkok for the meeting, to express his views on economic cooperation. The war in Ukraine, which Russia started is, however, consuming his time, making it impossible for him to attend. For the ASEAN-related summits in Phnom Penh and the G20 summit in Bali, Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov will represent Putin. Both summits have invited representatives of Ukraine as guests of the hosts. Ukraine Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba will take part in the two summits. In Phnom Penh, he will sign the Treaty of Amity and Cooperation, along with Spain. klauskunkel
Quote Phuket lobster, caviar from the Royal Project, Jasmine rice from Tung Kula Ronghai, free-range chicken from Nakhon Pathom, Betong chicken from Yala, beef from Sakon Nakhon, wine from Khao Yai, “golden” pineapple from Trat province, tea from Doi Tung and coffee from Nan. These are some on the list of best ingredients in Thailand that Michelin–starred chef Chumpol Jangprai will use to create a scrumptious dinner for the opening gala at the Apec Summit on November 18. Maybe he can get a doggy bag?

bamnutsak
No one really expected him to attend. All that sucking up the Thai diplomatic corpse engaged in was for naught. Hopefully they can cut back on the ultra-security measures a bit. 1

internationalism
looks, like Xi will be at those 3 summits, biden at 2, putin non. There was a chance for biden-putin meeting in jakarta. Biden said in september he is not going to speak to putin about war. At the very same speech he used "Armageddon" expression which in context of sound more like a threat . A confused senile man. Nuclear disarmament talks suppose to start within weeks at yet undisclosed location. They both had chance to start them already now face to face and at the top level and at neutral Asian setting. Those clandestine negotiations are on the low level and take time for approval and discussions at the higher lever.
