Daily News Thai Caption: Danger to society

Daily News reported on a brazen incident near a housing estate in Nonthaburi in which two teenage boys had their motorcycle stolen by a gang at knifepoint.

It happened on the Amporn Phaisan Road in Pak Kret, Nonthaburi.

The parents of Best, 16, and Boss, 17, (assumed names) said their children were coming home when they were targeted by a gang of about ten young people on 4/5 motorcycles.

They were punched and kicked for no reason - they did not know their assailants and there had been no trouble beforehand.

The motiveless attack got worse when one in the group of attackers produced a sword like weapon and slashed at the boys.

They ran off leaving their Honda Wave that was stolen and driven away.

It was later recovered in Soi Sai Thong.

A report was made to the Pak Kret police about the incident.

The parents want more police enforcement to prevent further trouble from such gangs that they say are a threat to society.
