Travel out of Country whilst Retirement Stamp is under Consideration

Recommended Posts

When I changed my reason for extension from Employment to Retirement (Surin 2018), I was given a one month Under Consideration stamp. Maybe they wanted to verify my financials with my bank ? I got a Re-entry Permit and travelled out of Thailand. Returning two days before my due date, I got a very quizical look at Bangkok Airport. I told them I was on my way to Surin to finish my Extension, and everything was OK.

Just make sure you are back in time to go to Immigration on your designated Return  Date.

I have never heard of anybody getting a under consideration stamp for a extension based upon retirement. Did you apply for one year extension or a non-o visa?

The are only done for extension based upon marriage to a Thai.

If you have an under consideration stamp you  can get a re-entry permit for the 30 days.

Here’s one for applying for a retirement extension off a 90 day O visa.
