2,000 Thai and foreign bikers descend on Southern Thailand for "bike week" in Phangnga

77kaoded reported that 2,000 Thai and foreign bikers from all over the country attended the first Charity Ride to Phangnga Bike Week in southern Thailand. 

 

Governor Ekkarat Leesen was guest of honor leading tourism officials in welcoming the bikers.

They were treated to welcoming shows by local school children, a sumptuous feast of local delicacies and a concert featuring well known artists.

There was also an American Car show. 

 

Proceeds from the charity event will help buy medical supplies and assist Takua Thung Hospital in the area.

 

The event is taking place at Khok Kloi sub-district about 800 kms south of the Thai capital Bangkok.

Does anyone know how to get information about upcoming riding events like this one? I would have loved to have driven my bike with many there to support their charity

Governor is such a clown. If it was 500 people, I'd agree. Very slow beek week with less than mediocre food on offer and no entertainment or events.  Should pay a visit to Sturgis to get an idea what a bike week is. This was not even more fun than a children's birthday party. Failed.
