Cheapest places to fly for visa run?

Obviously I'm not confused by the currency conversion process but by the logic of quoting in USD for flights that have nothing to do with America.

I use USD because it has value and meaning to me.  If the USD has no meaning to you then ok.  The Baht to me is just transactional currency while i am in LOS.  When I am in SIN, Seoul or Tokyo then the local currency has transactional meaning but no value to me.

That would depend on where you are in the country.

Why is everyone quoting prices in USD?

  • Although airline tickets fluctuate so much that it applies less when quoting their prices, it is reasonable to get in the habit of quoting any prices that are not fixed in another currency using US$.

Maybe because it’s easier for them to measure their funds? Being that USD is the standard for many tourists here.

I think there are way more tourists here who have nothing with the USD.

As currency rates fluctuate, the US$ price has a tendency to greater stability as US$ is the medium of international trade more often than any other currency. The only exception is when dealing with prices in Europe when quoting in euros can be better.

We are living in Thailand, the OP wants a visa trip from Thailand and his flights will be quoted in Baht.

Baht is the logical answer.

Phnom Penh is the other answer

i have lived in se asia, mostly Thailand with some time in Cambodia, over 35 years
I use US$ when i travel around countries cause its the most convenient  to convert in my head to what ever country i am in>

While in Burma, laos, Malaysia etc,  i dont convert the local currency to Baht in my head, but to $$, to know the cost

funny how the OP has NOT come back to say where he was travelling from in Thailand  ????
guess he really doesn't give a S#@T

To each their own.

Why USD, Euro citizens are fare more numerous than Americans
