Thai Rath reported that Rom Klao police in Lat Krabang, Bangkok, served a warrant for stealing electricity at four story business premises in the Ma Ruay estate, Soi Rom Klao 44.

On the first two floors were nothing but all manner of organic vegetables.

On the fourth floor was a Bitcoin mining operation.

Earlier the electricity authorities had checked the sums and their lines and realised they were being fleeced for 270,000 baht a month.

Someone was bypassing the meter. and it had been going on for ten years and losses had come to 10 million baht for the state.

Thanatorn, 55, admitted he was in charge.

He said he was hired by two foreigners - there was Rohan from Australia and Kenny from Malaysia.

They didn't give him a cash salary but taught him how to grow organic veg and he was getting 20K a month for himself from the sale of the veg.

He said that the foreigners handled the electricity bills, not him. All that Bitcoin stuff was their business, not him.

Police took away CCTV, 91 computers and other equipment as evidence.

The manager was charged with stealing 10 million baht's worth of electricity.
