Gmail Locked In Firefox But Works In Internet Explorer

Featured Replies

When I try to go to my account in gmail using firefox I see on the bottom right hand of the browser www.google and an icon of a lock. When I try to send e-mail it seems like a virus as it says do you want to discard the message and can't send. When I use internet explorer I can send out from gmail. Do I have a virus or is there something wrong with firefox? I unistalled firefox cleaned the personal data and downloaded it again. The same thing happens.

I think the "lock" you're referencing in Firefox is the icon that lets you know that you are connected to a secure server.

Look in the address window. Is the URL address http or https? (If it is https, then you should get the "lock" icon.) Is it the same address as when you're using IE?
