Thailand's new arrival regulations come into effect today,  international travelers will need to show proof they are fully vaccinated for COVID-19, Or show they have recovered  within six months.


Visitors who intend to fly on to a country that requires a covid test will need proof of insurance worth at least 10,000 dollars.


The new regulations will remain in effect at least until the end of January, however many in the tourist industry are unhappy with the new regulations and plan to meet with the PM tomorrow to discuss alternatives. 


3 government ministers will welcome the first Chinese visitors due to arrive at around 12 midday. 

 

The leader of the PHEU THAI party  yesterday denied opposition party claims they intended to return former prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra to Thailand and to power, saying this was pure speculation.


Thaksin has been in exile overseas since the 2006 coup.

 

Officials and soldiers in the south seized around 300 cases of fireworks destined for Malaysia yesterday, 
The haul was found underneath fertilizer bags on a truck parked up in a private lorry park, no one has claimed responsibility for the fireworks.

 

A new point system for motorists goes into effect today!


Each motorist has been allocated 12 points. Which will be deducted for violations of traffic laws. The license may be suspended if all 12 points are lost,  drivers may lose their license if they receive three suspensions within three years.
