webfact 181975
Palang Pracharath Party leader Prawit Wongsuwan. Top photo, Matichon Weekly By Thai Newsroom Reporters PALANG PRACHARATH SECRETARY-GENERAL Santi Prompat said today (Jan.10) party leader Prawit Wongsuwan is likely to be the sole Palang Pracharath contestant for head of a post-election government. Santi who concurrently performs as deputy finance minister suggested Prawit who, he said, has always been devoted to working in the course of the country’s and people’s interests deserved the opportunity to contest the general election as the sole Palang Pracharath contender for prime minister whilst nobody else should be named a second or third candidate for the top post of government under the tickets of the largest coalition partner. The Palang Pracharath secretary-general’s comments apparently followed earlier speculation that Prawit’s camp might have a trio of partisan contestants for prime minister including the party boss himself. SiamAndy 312
Prawit is the best candidate for PM as he'll be hands off and sleep through his term. We've seen the disaster that Prayut has been and Anutin's flip flop decisions as Health Minister thus far demonstrates his poor leadership abilities. newnative 10021
Hopefully the two Ps and Anutin will all split the clueless vote and allow a Move Forward candidate with hopefully some new ideas and energy to win as PM. Is it too soon for the new mayor of Bangkok to run?

Thailand needs to get these soldiers out of parliament and back to their barracks and parade grounds, get a properly elected government voted back in and try and let the country move on. Pedrogaz 6122
God save us. Better Prayut than this watch borrower. Look at Prawit's wrists and tell me if any other humans have wrists as large.
