I'll be passing through Thailand in late Oct. en route from Melbourne to Germany.

My budget may be a little tight by then but I could afford a flight or two to neighbouring lands, which I've never visited before.

The short question(s) is: which would be best, is easiest for entry and exit and which areas are good for a flying visit?
