Cabinet approves phase 5 of the “We Travel Together” program

The Thai cabinet approved the 5th phase of the “Rao Tiew Duay Kan” (We Travel Together) program on Tuesday, which is intended to boost domestic tourism.

 

Starting in February, the state will cover 40% of the accommodation charge, not exceeding 3,000 baht per night, plus a 600-baht food voucher per day. Tourism and Sports Minister Phiphat Ratchakitprakarn said that the program will cost the taxpayer about 2.02 billion baht.

 

Altogether 560,000 “entitlements” will be provided to Thai citizens who subscribe to the program.  Each person can receive a maximum of five “entitlements”.

I just paid my Thai taxes...so...they will go to them straight forward?? So they can have holidays to another travel together?????? 

All this "no benefits but all obligations" is so...5555

Wow.. that's almost like free living...

I can remember back during the Covid days two teacher friends who used to eat out every day at restaurants using the scheme of lets go halves.

They said it was cheaper than buying food and cooking at home.
