Cap: Helping a wild baby elephant

Daily News reported that national park officials from Ta Phraya National Park in Sa Kaeo, eastern Thailand, and associated helpers used a backhoe to clear a path to help a baby elephant get out of a pond after he'd got stuck.

"Tula" had been foraging for food outside the park.

The stricken pachyderm had been trumpeting for help in Nong Waen sub-district of Buriram province.

Tula was now back with the herd none the worse for wear.

Bath-time blues.

Well done by all concerned. I hope the baby pachyderm will live a long and happy life.
