cubism001
Recent goal: survival. (my family died out during Covid, so there's nobody but me to take care of me.) Then an old one, that's got me through tough and good times: remembering what's important to me. Quiet, nature, few machines...it's different for everyone. For years I had one profession; the bottom fell out of it, so now I write books. They've become successful, so I feel kind of responsible to people who read them. I write better researched & written books. They're just good stories, frankly, but factually correct. And paying attention to what I eat, how much I exercise, sleep, etc. That works; fewer dr visits, for sure. Many goals. Good luck to you. I know it's not easy. Thanks for asking. jerrymahoney
From NYTimes Paywall April 11, 2022 'Cheap as Chips’ No Longer True in U.K. as Prices Soar for a Favorite MealThe costs for fish and chips, a working-class staple in Britain for well over a century, have rocketed as the war in Ukraine has made the main ingredients scarcer. Of 10,000 shops, 3,000 may close. HARTLEPOOL, England — When it opened in 2020, business was booming at Chunks, a store serving dozens of portions each day of Britain’s best known takeout meal: battered and deep-fried cod with fries, or chips as they are known here. But even before the war in Ukraine further pushed up the shop’s bills for energy, fish and cooking oil, inflation had already forced the owners, Sayward and Michael Lewis, to raise their prices twice. Now, with another spike in prices driving away customers, Chunks is on the brink of failing. Edited February 3, 2023 by jerrymahoney 1

Danderman123
I have far exceeded my goals in life, which puts me in a quandary of what to do now. For the moment, I am relegated to entertaining young ladies in my condo in Pattaya, maybe its time for new goals.
