Must you present photos with a white background. ? last year, he accepted blue background. DrJack54
There is no written requirements that I'm aware of other than size. Some offices insist on blue background. Always good option to mention your immigration office.

It is called a Passport style photo which must be white. Went for re-entry permit last week with my photo duly glued on the form. She took my photo herself and printed the same form out, asked me to sign it, and then filled all my data in herself. 555

Not really relevant as the OP clearly not using CW.
KhunLA
I've always used PP photos, I think, and they are on light background. Always accepted. Hua Hin prefers you not to use same photo in PP, or same photo they have on file from previous year. The whole photo thing is silly to begin with, as they/HH imm. take your photo when there. I used my DL photo once, as only different one I had with me, surprisingly, and had to be 10 yrs old. Mind boggling. IOs used, Udon Thani, Nong Khai, Hua Hin Edited February 5, 2023 by KhunLA 1
Popular Post OJAS
Blue background seems be the standard norm for ID mugshots here in LOS. If the OP is a Brit, then heaven help him in coping with the whole load of fun and games which will probably await him in obtaining new paper mugshots in due course at passport renewal time! Not so easy to find a Thai professional photographer who is capable of taking mugshots against specific background hues of plain cream or light grey in my neck of the woods at least!! Fine if you can find a professional photographer locally who is capable of taking mugshots complying with your home country's over-fussy requirements for passport photos. As already said, easier said than done in the case of us Brits! Edited February 5, 2023 by OJAS

paddypower
yesterday's visit was a pleasure, if you can believe it. New, young, very professional IO. He selected my white background photo. My wife only had a blue background photo, which he accepted without a problem.
