You can now apply for an online driving licence in Thailand. Here's how to do
Here are all the steps that you need to follow to get an online driving licence in Thailand. Most of the process occurs at the Department of Land Transport (DLT), but you can get a head start online using the DLT Smart Queue app. Here’s a complete guide to help you through the process, ensuring it’s as smooth as possible. Step 1: Using the DLT Smart Queue App The DLT Smart Queue app is a helpful tool created by the Department of Land Transport to streamline the appointment process. Instead of waiting in long lines, you can book your time slot ahead of your visit. Here's how to use it: Download the app from the App Store or Google Play. Register by entering your personal details and creating a password. Select your preferred DLT office location. Choose "Licence" as the service type, and specify your vehicle type and licence type. Pick an available date and time for your appointment. Confirm the booking and save the QR code, which you’ll need on the day of your visit. While the app saves time by prioritising people with appointments, be aware that some users have reported difficulties logging in. It could benefit from additional features like fingerprint or face recognition for ease of use. Step 2: Gather the Required Documents Before heading to the Department of Land Transport, make sure you have all your documents ready. For foreigners, the required documents are as follows: A valid passport with at least 6 months of remaining validity. A non-immigrant visa valid for at least 3 months. Your TM6 departure card. Proof of address (can be a letter from immigration or your work permit). A medical certificate from a licensed doctor (valid for one month). Your home country driving licence or an international driving licence (translated into Thai or English if not in English). Two 2-inch photos taken within the last 6 months. Make photocopies of all your documents, sign them, and check with your local DLT office for any recent changes before you visit. Step 3: Physical and Theoretical Tests Once at the DLT office, you’ll undergo both physical and theoretical tests. The physical tests will check for colour blindness, reflexes, and depth perception. You’ll also take a practical driving test, either using a simulator or a real vehicle depending on the office. After passing the physical test, you’ll need to attend a 5-hour training course (or 1 hour for a motorcycle licence), covering Thai traffic rules and road safety. Finally, you’ll take a theory test, consisting of 50 multiple-choice questions. To pass, you’ll need to score at least 90% (45 correct answers), while motorcycle applicants require a 75% pass rate. If you fail, you have up to 90 days to retake the exam. Full article written by The Thaiger: Applying for an online Thai driving licence -

Vance Labels Harris as a Major Threat to Religious Liberty
Only someone with learning difficulties would fail to grasp the idea that the COVID vaccines saved lives and Vance politicizing it now is simply him desperately trying to save his own life in politics in the coming election by spouting any kind of nonsense possible under the pretense of the right to free speech. -

Tik Tok vs Facebook
Tik Tok is for kids and young people to share their stupid vids, FB is for geriatrics to post photos of their meals and pets. -

I don't think it has a timer. I control my fan with a switch and Home Assistant. I have a duct which is a couple of meter long. As far as I remember I bought it in HomePro. -

Applying for a DTV (soft power) with Thai language classes possible?
I don't agree based on the intent of the visa program and the statements of the foreign ministry so far. It's essentially a 5 year tourism visa. You don't have to "maintain" it, it's valid for 5 years, unlimited entries in that time. Once it's in your passport you're good to go in/ out for 5 years and are unlikely to be questioned at any land or air border. The visa is valid for entry. It's been granted to you. This is based on whats been said currently. It's not like the Education Visa. The exception which is unknown currently, is the in country extension process, which can be avoided altogether of desired. But if you do extend, there's 2 ways this could go. One is you have to show your "purpose" is still valid i.e. Proof of soft power or Workcation. Second and IMO most likely is - its just a extension fee tick and flick exercise, you pay 1900 baht and some photocopies and you're extended for another 180 days. -

Vance Labels Harris as a Major Threat to Religious Liberty
And what makes Trump's rejection of project 2025 particularly suspect is it on the one hand he claimed not to have heard of it and on the other he said it had some good ideas and some bad ideas. How does that work? -

Elite Visa Holders exempt from paying personal income tax in Thailand
Just some fancy worded PR to give the Elite Visa members some hope that they didn't entirely waste their millions of baht when they could have just got a DTV for 10,000 baht instead 😀 -

Looks good, is there a timer on it so after turning the light off it was for an extra 5 minutes or so? Could not see anything in the specs, also is this feeding straight outside? I have no exterior walls in the bathroom so will need to run a duct. -

Elite Visa Holders exempt from paying personal income tax in Thailand
The Thai Elite Privilege scheme is a private business AFAIK. So it's not an official statement from the Thai government.
