A coalition of rural action groups is protesting against the Ministry of Public Health and the Bhumjaithai Party in Bangkok for its decision to transfer a popular doctor from his post in the south.

The action groups said the decision was politically motivated because the doctor being transferred had questioned ministry directives and party policies.

The groups said his objection against the Bhuamjaithai’s marijuana policy, the ministry’s unfair transfers of medical personnel, its mismanagement of the Covid-19 outbreak situation and the procurement of vaccines and antigen test kits (ATKs) led to his ouster.
