Move Forward Party Leader Pita Limjaroenrat and Piyabutr Saengkanokkul, former secretary-general of the now defunct Future Forward Party, are engaged in a spat over the former’s prediction of a landslide general election victory for his party.

In his Facebook post, Piyabutr, currently a key member of the Progressive Movement, said that the landslide victory may not be achieved for a number of reasons, such as the number of constituency MPs, which must be increased, and the leadership abilities of the party’s leader, which do not convince the people to believe that the Move Forward Party can be the core party in forming the next government.

Responding to Piyabutr’s criticism, Pita wrote in his Facebook post that he has sacrificed to assume the leadership of the Move Forward Party, after the dissolution of the Future Forward Party.

They might be popular among the masses, but political entities like MV will never see a day with a clear majority and control. As long as the ruling oligarchical machine is in place, real opposition has little hope.

What they should be promoting is a revolution, instead of playing the game.

Well one way to destroy your own party chances is to publicly spell out your internal issues.

There is a time to speak up and a time to shut up.

Indeed. But, this instance is like every other - it's all about themselves [as individuals] instead of the political party and it's identity.

Actually, this was bound to happen - even with these folks.

Politicians in Thailand mostly think about self-gain, either status or enrichment

certainly not the country or the people.
