AGRICULTURE & COOPERATIVES Minister Chalermchai Sri-on has pledged to promote a novel rubber industry campaign called “Sex toys Made in Thailand.”

 

Chalermchai today (Feb.23) posted on his Facebook page to pledge solid support for the “Sex toys Made in Thailand” campaign under which sex toys will be made of natural rubber and supplied to the world market which, he said, could probably secure as much as two billion baht in export value yearly by 2030.

The world reportedly purchased some 1.3 billion baht worth of sex toys in 2021, the agriculture & cooperatives minister said.

Minister Keen On Channelling Natural Rubber To Sex Toy Market

IN an effort to boost the price of natural rubber, Agriculture Minister Chalermchai Sri-on said this commodity should be channelled to the production of sex toys and dolls which would draw additional income for the country, Sanook.com said today (Feb. 23).

 

Chalermchai, who is also the secretary-general of the Democrat Party, said “Made in Thailand” sex toys and dolls produced from the best natural rubber will raise the value of this commodity with these sex products not just being about pornography but “a matter of sexual health.”

 

In 2021 the global sex toy market was worth 1.3 trillion baht having grown 300 percent since 2016, he said, also estimating that it will increase to 2 trillion baht by 2030.

Oh please. These fake puritans have spent so many years attempting to repress anything to do with sex. Promoting it? Doubt we will ever see that. It would require a confession of sorts.

In the past, information didn't flow as freely and quickly. For better or worse, social media is letting people understand the overt repression being forced on them and silly puritan values like this are getting in the way of the bottom line. There are profits to be made from making and selling these bouncy toys, as well as probably fewer sex offenses against human bouncy toys.

If promoted well the feelings of inadequacy around the world  may give the medical tourism sector a bit of a lift.

But when will the first complaints of objectification and racism hit this site?

 

what a load of nonsense from children who should be playing in a school playground... primary school at that... "we have all these wonderful sex toys for sale (internationally)", but we don't allow them in our own country because... well ??? can anyone work this out.. as I am lost for words.. - stamped "made in Thailand, but banned from sale in Thailand".. what a brilliant marketing campaign that could be..

This idea is hardly new.....okay, the rubber part may be new….but they've been promoting the rice-burning version of 'Sex toys made in Thailand' for a long time....

Probably won’t be be for sale Thailand. Will be illegal to do so.

Let us hope the desire for profit will trump the repression, and along with it the fake morals, fake family values, obsession with face, fake aversion to sex, and the fake pretending that sex is not a major motivator of mankind. Let us move forward.

Yes, they are illegal. How convenient is that? Does anyone think those vendors do not have to "pay tribute" to the franchisees, who pose as law enforcement?

Thais may have confusing mores to the western eye but I think we can all agree that money is usually a powerful driving force. Weed is a prime example.

The first step to be taken is abolish the law that forbid sex toys before you can promote them...

On my first visits I was surprised by the idea that porn and sex toys were illegal while sex was freely (if also illegal) available. The only rationalization I could figure out was that porn and sex toys might lessen the demand of the “evening stars” who were much appreciated in my earlier years.

1.  many, many workers at these Thailand rubber plantations are dying

2.  most are not even Thai, since it's so deadly

3.  Rubber companies in Thailand act as if they don't know

4.  search YouTube for documentaries.

Oh, and don't get me started about killing forests for only ONE type of tree.  That destroys the environment.

Yet, it perfectly ok when derived from influential corporate chiefs and elite circles....

Their numbers are way out. The industry was worth around $37 billion in 2022 and is set to grow to $80+ billion by 2030.

I like the marketing strategy promoted by the Minister in that all sex toys will be made from "natural rubber" grown and made in Thailand. None of that foreign synthetic sh$t. Only healthy insertions. Right, Minister? Thailand to the rescue in producing healthy sex toys. Got the members of the world-wide gay / fetish community who can't find a partner covered.

I recall a statement made in 2016 by the current PM asking the Thai rubber industry to diversify and expand manufacture of products made from the Thai latex. What results?
