The large numbers coming in by boat are using a loophole that allows them to stay without claiming asylum So even if the UK was still part of the Dublin agreement that agreement can't be used when people are claiming they  to be trafficked

Perhaps you can explain why HMG has not enacted legislation to address the situation. Wasn't one of the primary reasons given for Brexit HMG can easily address such issues. e.g. Germany has been successful with rejecting West Balkan asylum seekers.

Why don't you contact HMG and ask them yourself

3. Even more strikingly, the Dublin Regulation inflow to the UK in the year 2018 was nearly six times the outflow. As the Home Office noted in February 2019: "There were 1,215 transfers into the UK under the Dublin Regulation. The majority (946) of these transfers came from Greece

https://www.migrationwatchuk.org/briefing-paper/444/transfers-of-asylum-seekers-from-the-uk-under-the-dublin-system

So what! HMG has withdrawn from EU, so why bother dragging up past stats regards Dublin Regulation.

"London: Indians are the third-largest group of migrants crossing into the UK over the English Channel on risky small boats so far this year, according to the UK Home Office. Officials are scrambling to find out what is driving the surge, which has prompted fears that “thousands more will follow” given the country’s population of 1.4 billion, The Times newspaper has reported"

Problem with the UK is to many lefty do gooders.

Sounds like one could be one on this thread.

The total number of recorded migrants crossing in 2022 was 45,756.  just Outrageous.

Maybe one or two real asylum seekers.

It's time to stop the BS paper work, and just send them back.

The we welcome 'refugees' gang never talk about what the limits are and the effect this flood of people is having on housing, schools and the NHS. The larger problem is those on education visas who then bring family over and none end up going home, the the Universities would go broke without them! Add to that the Ukrainians, HK and people in lorries!

Because if you had read the entire thread you would have seen a post where a member was suggesting that it would be a good idea for the UK to rejoin the Dublin Regulations which would be a werid step seeing that the EU to abolish Dublin regulation

2020

Speaking to the European Parliament in her annual State of the Union speech on Wednesday (16 September), European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen confirmed the EU executive wants to abolish the so-called ‘Dublin Regulation’

Its cheaper for students who study in the UK , they pay local rates , rather than international rates at University .

Rather than apply for a student visa and pay the fee for a university , its cheaper to sail across the English channel , apply for asylum and get a cheaper rate at University .

Its cheaper that way and more guaranteed as a student visa may be rejected and claiming asylum isn't rejected

How can they be trafficked when they have paid at least 1500 quid to get on a boat, nobody forces them. But we take them seriously!

Why would EU authorise UK rejoining a Dublin Regulation agreement? Brexit was a strategic error based upon lies and misinformation. You guys are flogging a dead horse.
