Ivermectin is not shown to be effective against Covid-19 in clinical trials according to the findings of a joint University of Oxford and Mahidol University study.

The study that was published on the peer-reviewed eLife medical journal found that high doses of the drug ivermectin, controversially recommended by some high-profile political and media figures during the pandemic, is ineffective at treating the virus.

Conducted at the Center for Tropical Diseases in Bangkok, the study is part of the ongoing PLATCOV trial the study hoped to assess the antiviral effectiveness of medicines in treating early symptomatic Covid-19 infections.

The findings support claims that the drug has little antiviral activity against the virus.

Well, we already knew that, but Thailand has now finally joined the reality of the rest of the world when it comes to usin a de-wormer medication.....the ivermectin lovers and promoters won't like this at all.....

Yet Ivermectin is used in humans for treatment of certain things, but not to treat Covid.

https://www.fda.gov/consumers/consumer-updates/why-you-should-not-use-ivermectin-treat-or-prevent-covid-19

  • The FDA has not authorized or approved ivermectin for use in preventing or treating COVID-19 in humans or animals. Ivermectin is approved for human use to treat infections caused by some parasitic worms and head lice and skin conditions like rosacea.

So your an antivaxxer. You are aware that any medications and vaccines can cause people to have reactions to them right?

I've been querying most people I talk to lately.  Two simple questions: 1) did you take the Covid vaccinations, and 2) have you had Covid.

To date, everyone I've asked answered yes to both questions.

Neither myself or my wife have had the shots and we have been taking Ivermectin weekly since 2020.  We have been around people with active cases of Covid, as well as colds and other upper respiratory infections.
Neither myself or my wife have had Covid.  And although my wife wears a mask outside the house, I don't.

So I'll run with our own anecdotal evidence as I haven't had Covid and for that matter I haven't even had a regular cold since taking it as a prophylaxis.

What other people chose to believe is up to them.  I just remember all of the quotes from various government officials and Big Pharma experts that "if you get the shots you won't get Covid."

Once I'm lied to, you'll never regain my trust.

So the wife and I (and a significant number of my own friends and acquaintances) will continue to take the treatment we consider to be safe and effective - Ivermectin as a prophylaxis.

For those who wish to take Covid shots the rest of their lives every time a now booster is released?  Go for it.  Your body; your choice.
I wish you well.

There was anecdotal evidence that vaccinations saved all their lives or at least didn't let them get very ill and hospitalised. Why do you reject that anecdotal evidence?

No hospital in Bangkok gave you ivermectin.

Because it doesn't suit his agenda.

Nobody ever told me that I wouldn't get Covid if I took the vaccinations.

I took the vaccines, I got Covid and felt a bit rough for  couple of days. That was it.

Both wife and I triple vaccinated. She got covid as she has an active social life. Felt a little rough for two days.

Despite continuing to live and sleep together as normal I didn't get covid from her. Still not had it.

Anecdotal evidence is not worth a hill of beans.

Who paid for the Mahidol-Oxford study?  Just curious.   Wonder who donates large amounts to this institution?

Looks like Bill and Melinda donated $184 million dollars to them.   Don't they have an interest in pushing for the injection?   Naah,  they'd never do that.

The study is financed by the Wellcome Trust (source: https://elifesciences.org/articles/83201)

Which is very close to the pharma industry. I wouldn't call that an independent study.

"I just remember all of the quotes from various government officials and Big Pharma experts that "if you get the shots you won't get Covid."" They never said that, the effects will be less. Incredible that you still don't know that after so many years.

You consider to be safe, are you a doctor?
