A surgical mask is designed so the surgeon doesn't accidentally spit or cough into the surgical theatre, infecting the patient with solids. It's not designed to stop viruses. Logically, this statement makes no sense. Try to explain it in a logical form. The average pore size in a condom is ~5 microns. HIV virus is 120 nm, which is ~0.12 microns. Jinkies! That wee, tiny virus should just be bursting through, right? So how could condoms effectively prevent HIV? It works like this. Virus is miniscule but doesn't migrate on its own, it needs a host media for transmission. A barrier that prevents the host media from passing through also prevents the virus from passing. 4 1 1 1

They attach themselves to water/dust/fluids which then move them along from one host to the next. A mask or condom or gloves prevent passage of the media carrying the virus. This isn't that hard to understand. It's the dust/pflegm carrying the virus that is airborn, it's not a big ol' ball of virus. Quote Spread of COVID-19 occurs via airborne particles and droplets. People who are infected with COVID can release particles and droplets of respiratory fluids that contain the SARS CoV-2 virus into the air when they exhale (e.g., quiet breathing, speaking, singing, exercise, coughing, sneezing). The droplets or aerosol particles vary across a wide range of sizes – from visible to microscopic. Once infectious droplets and particles are exhaled, they move outward from the person (the source). These droplets carry the virus and transmit infection. Now consider a barrier stops movement of fluids carrying the virus, in BOTH relative directions. Quote Since COVID-19 is transmitted through contact with respiratory fluids carrying the infectious SARS-CoV-2 virus, a person can be exposed by an infected person coughing or speaking near them. They can also be exposed by inhaling aerosol particles that are spreading away from the infected person. source: https://www.epa.gov/coronavirus/indoor-air-and-coronavirus-covid-19 Infected person's mask stops most droplets going out. Uninfected person's mask stops most droplets coming in. 5 1

Walker88 Posted December 27, 2023 Posted December 27, 2023 Ivermectin doesn't work? Oh my! Next the experts will be telling us injecting Lysol or sticking a UV light up your fatuga is also ineffective. Frankly, it's just a conspiracy to keep a Nobel in medicine from the Bloated Orange Orifice. Incidentally, post-Covid, research seems to indicate there is a high correlation between obesity and severe Covid, and also low serum Vitamin D3 and severe Covid. In the US, 78% of deaths occurred among the obese, and 85% of deaths were people with low levels of D3. 1 1 1
DudleySquat Posted December 27, 2023 Posted December 27, 2023 I'm sorry, but your statements are delusional. My son and I had real N100 masks. Our masks formed a 100 percent seal around the nose and mouth. I would say that the masks I bought from Canada were authentic, and I never saw anyone wearing one like it. They were small and comfortable. The company went out of business. Too many idiots were buying the lies from the governments telling them all they needed was a surgeon's mask. I wonder how many of them died due to that bit of purposeful misinformation. 1 1

Under what conditions does Pseudomonas metabolize nitrite to nitrate and nitrogen?
