webfact
Daily News Thai Caption: Blatant selling Daily News said they were alerted by concerned residents to the blatant selling of E-cigarettes and vaping fluid in Sa Kaeo, eastern Thailand, just 1 km from a police station in Muang district. When they went to investigate they found a female M1 (first year of secondary school) student making a purchase. The shop is near the bus station. Sales are also made on Facebook with only a token effort made to make it look as though it's a beauty shop. The media said there was a steady stream of customers - including the "shocking" discovery that one was the young teen. Locals also had reported that many teens were buying and smoking the devices that are illegal in Thailand. Yet, as has been reported many times, such products are openly on sale almost everywhere. Heavy penalties exist for selling e-cigarettes and vaping fluid. Long prison terms are on the books for importing them. Some politicians are pressing for them to be made legal and taxed. Anutin Charvirakul, health minister and PM aspirant, has reported said "not on my watch". geistfunke
A wrong law is a wrong law. The best thing is to stop reporting on it and keep quiet.
ikke1959
As long as no laws are enforced, there is no need to stop this... This article shows exactly what is wrong in Thailand.....And mr Anutin is against vaping but weed selling and smoking and shops are no problem... I think that weed is a more serious problem than vaping
Dcheech
Officially it is illegal, unofficially it is fine, no problem. However if a tourist, or expat is found in possession of one, 'show me the money'. Very Thai
