BANGKOK (NNT) - Thailand has been awarded ’Best Tourist Country’ for the third time at the 30th annual Grand Travel Awards 2023 in Stockholm, Sweden.

The award, organized by Nordic travel trade magazine TravelNews, is based on a survey of 3,227 Swedish travelers and travel professionals across Sweden conducted by research company Nordic Bench. Thailand has now achieved this recognition for the second time in five years.

Orn Doungchan, Director of the Tourism Authority of Thailand’s (TAT) Stockholm Office, said the office wished to express its thanks to their friends in Thailand, along with travel agencies, tour operators and airlines in Sweden, and to the Swedish people for their support and confidence in Thailand.

The director added that the TAT Stockholm Office will continue to promote Thailand’s moves toward experience-based tourism, as well as more sustainable and responsible tourism. These initiatives are in line with the "Visit Thailand Year 2023: Exciting New Chapters" tourism marketing campaign.

Thailand’s 5F soft-power foundations of Food, Film, Festival, Fight and Fashion will also be promoted to offer meaningful travel experiences in Thailand, with a focus on enticing visitors from Nordic countries to discover the many unique and wonderful tourism experiences beyond beaches and cities.

It would be interesting to know the ratio of male to female ( Can I say that these days?) respondents to the survey, and WHY they voted for Thailand.

To much Information would be full of misinformation so lets just keep it simple
