Thailand's tech police arrested a 40 year old former hotel manager on a charge of defrauding the public.

Thippawan, or Thip, was arrested on a warrant for fraud at a florist's in Sukhumvit Road, Bangkok, where she was working.

Fifty three victims had come foward to say they had been defrauded by Thip.

She had resigned her job at a well known hotel and used her experience in the industry to offer vouchers for stays at hotels.

Members of the public were convinced by her credentials and added her on a personal Line account.

But when the customers arrived at the hotels there was no deal.

She admitted what she had done and was taken away.

Victims lost thousands to tens of thousands each reported Siam Rath.
