realermashes Posted March 8, 2023 Posted March 8, 2023 Got a 45d visa on arrival (i.e. the normal, no application procedure etc.) Stamps says "admitted until", presumably I can actually fly out on that exact date? 1
rwilem Posted March 8, 2023 Posted March 8, 2023 (edited) Yep. 'Admitted untill.....', can fly out, exit, on that date. Edited March 8, 2023 by rwilem 2
rwilem Posted March 8, 2023 Posted March 8, 2023 By the way, what you have is a 45-day, visa-exempt entry. 1 1

Yes, the 30 day extension is routinely given. The only real issue some people at some immigration offices encounter is the requirement to be reported at an address in the area of the immigration office they apply at. That's the TM30 reporting you often read about on here. Before applying for the extension, you need to ensure that the hotel (or wherever you're staying) has reported you. 1
RefinedGentleman Posted March 10, 2023 Posted March 10, 2023 Is it safe to assume that the proof of outward travel within 30 days requirement is extended to 45 days along with the exemption?

I don't ever remember doing that for an extension. I've only written the flight number or "Friendship Bus to Savannakhet" on the form (2 sides of A4). This person has it right as far as I recall: 7 Steps To Extending Your Thai Tourist Visa 1) Arrive At Immigration Office With Your Passport. 2) Fill Out Extension Forms. 3) Take Photos & Create Passport Copies At The Immigration Office (Pay Around 100 Baht). 4) Take A Number & Wait To Be Called To Counter. 5) Submit Forms, Passport, Photos & Passport Copies To Immigration Officer. 6) Pay 1900 Baht (Cash!) To Immigration Officer. 7) Done! Your Visa Extension Will Be Stapled To The Last Page Of Your Passport. https://www.katiecaftravel.com/how-to-extend-30-60-day-tourist-visa-thailand/ 1
