Mt Nopporn Wuthikul, the Hua Hin Mayor, is seeking the cooperation of community members as the municipality is facing issues with the supply of drinking water.

The main storage facility for raw water prior to treatment has reached very low levels partly due to necessary repairs to water pipes in Phetchaburi significantly reducing flow to the reservoir.  These repairs are due for completion on 9th March.

The combination of this issue with the lack of recent rainfall which will continue during the current season and increased visitor numbers has resulted in reductions in the flow of treated tap water to some areas of the community.

Mr Nopporn has assured the community that officials will further accelerate tap water production to meet the needs of the people, however he is asking for cooperation to save water during the summer period to reduce the impact  of these issues.

That was yesterday

I'm also a little puzzled by this story as it speaks of a drinking water supply.

Everyone I know gets their drinking water out of some kind of machine which filters it or just stocks up on Singha, Nestle or something similar.

There is no 'drinking water' supply, is there?

All sorted before Songkran then I hope.
