Hotline Services Set up to Receive Reports on Call Center Scams

BANGKOK, March 13 (TNA) – Hotlines have been set up by 12 commercial banks to receive public reports on call center gangs and money scams, said acting government spokesperson Anucha Burapachaisri.

Pheu Thai rejects joining Palang Pracharath in next governing coalition

Mae Hong Son Drowning In Toxic Dust As PM2.5 Exceeds 224

THE Centre for Air Pollution Mitigation said at 7 a.m. this morning (Mar. 13)  PM.2.5, tiny particulate matter that can dangerously clog lungs, exceeded 224 micrograms per cubic metre (µg/m³) in Mae Hong Son province, Naewna newspaper said.

Local Fishing Accident Results in Hundreds of Dead Fish Being Found on Bang Saen Beach

Two Phuket restaurants charged with possession of protected marine life

Two seafood restaurants in Phuket have been charged with the illegal possession of protected marine life, according to a Phuket News report. The unnamed floating restaurants have been found in breach of environmental laws after authorities seized a variety of protected marine life.

Phuket officials sign agreement to address labour shortage in tourism, hospitality

Representatives of Phuket’s business sector and the Office of Vocational Education Commission have signed an agreement aimed at tackling the labour shortage on the island. The Bangkok Post reports that under the agreement, vocational institutes would provide graduates and part-time students to the tourism and service industries.

The Thai Transport Ministry has announced that there are four companies seeking licenses to operate airline services in Thailand – P80 Air, Really Cool Air, Landarch Airline and Siam Seaplane. The process of obtaining air service licenses is expected to take some time, and the four new airlines are expected to be approved to operate next year.

Five suspects arrested in connection with multiple murders in Narathiwat

Five suspects are in police custody for alleged involvement in the murder of four men. Three of the bodies were found in the trunk of a car, partially submerged in a canal in Waeng district of the southern border province of Narathiwat, in February. The fourth body was disposed of in the Su-ngai Kolok River in the same province.
