Protesters rally in Bangkok’s Ratchadamnoen on Tuesday morning

Farmers and passenger van operators have been rallying separately in front of the Agriculture and Transport ministries since this morning (Tuesday) to demand government help.

 

Farmer groups, associated with the Farmers’ Federation of Thailand, led by the federation’s advisor Yossawat Chaiwattanasirikul, are demanding that the government set aside about 1.4 billion baht from the Central Fund for the Farmer Rehabilitation and Development Fund (FRDF), to be used for refinancing farmers’ debts to four state banks.

 

Yossawat claimed that the cabinet had approved the refinancing program for farmers on March 22ndlast year, but funds have not been allocated to the FRDF.

Government will not do anything anymore..  They are almost finished and no time anymore. Or it must suit the elections...They approved so many things and did not do anything with it anymore...just approved to keep people quiet

The real question is, now that covid is over, and the draconian restrictions have been eased, why aren't there millions of Thais protesting in the streets? Have they been scared into submission?

I would say that after 8 years of junta government they have been subjugated into submission. No longer citizens of the State but servants of the State.
