Thai photographer shares joy at being asked to document Oscars ceremony

A Thai photographer who was one of the official photographers at Sunday’s Oscars ceremony in Los Angeles has shared her excitement on social media.

 

Jutharat “Poupay” Pinyodoonyachet was born in Thailand and lives in New York, where she has contributed to The New York Times, New York Magazine, The New Yorker, and The Wall Street Journal.

 

According to a Coconuts report, she posted a selfie taken at the Oscars ceremony, in which she expressed disbelief at being there.
