Patong – A motorbike passenger was pronounced dead at the scene while the rider sustained severe injuries after a motorbike crash in Patong.


Emergency responders were notified of the accident on Tuesday night (March 21st) on the Kamala – Kalim Road in Patong.

 

They arrived at the scene to find a damaged motorbike on the road. Nearby they found the body of a woman identified only as Mrs. Petchthip, 50 from Khon Kaen.

From the link:

Witnesses said the motorbike rider was driving at high speed before losing control at a curve. However, the police are continuing their investigation to find the exact cause of the accident.

 

I'd go with the witness statement.

And, as it's said that an average of two people an hour are killed on Thai roads, with 80% of Thai road deaths being motorcyclists, there were plenty more killed in addition to this one. This made the news, most don't. I have no idea why that is.

If you don't like it, stay in a western nanny police state instead. Western states still have accidents even though everyone drives like they are 80 years old.

Only secular people fear death, that's why they obsess on it.
