I've lived in five condos and three houses and noise, especially loud bass-heavy music and dogs, has been a problem in all of them. My present house straddles the edge of a golf course, so you'd assume it would be quiet. Wrong! I'm of the belief that if I bought a place on a mountaintop, there'd be a little guy in a tin shack down the way who keeps a dozen dogs, rattling my walls with Thai pop music.
Saying that, I've lived here for sixteen years so I must be the tolerant type.

My late fathers favourite quotation. Haven't heard it for years.

I don't

Nong Bua Daeng is a district (amphoe) of Chaiyaphum province, northeastern Thailand.

i recommend you check out your next residence before moving in, with a bit more care than you did this one.

We had noisy neighbors renting in the condo for a couple of months. Young people, they would get drunk at the bars, then come back to the room and party on until 4 or 5 am.

One of them would play a guitar, he was so off key he needed both his guitar strings and his vocal cords severed.

They were given their marching orders when the condo manager threatened to sue the landlord for breach of condo rules.

Yes there are rude people the world over who act like whatever they do does not affect others.

Who knows?  lung cancer, emphysema, I'm not a real doctor, only online Google doctor.

Many people have moved out, of course.   I know if they get a certain room it will be too crazy.  One group of nut jobs put a table in the Soi (other end of the apartment complex) and would blast music and get drunk.   That room was doomed.   2 moved out from there already.

I only learned one thing in Thailand.   Rent a CORNER room, it's soooo much colder.  Sure, might be louder, but colder beat noise.   And never sign a long-term lease, things will get strange.

I'll be in a new place in May.    I can ONLY IMAGINE what will happen...

One "modern" apartment I rented was next to a shack where you could hear the people open the door and pee.   Great!!!!  I'm always on the top floor, but that place only meant second floor.

I honestly don't care because it's so cheap, and hopefully letting the expats know what MIGHT happen that will ruin your life!!!!!!   lol

It's true, so many "luxury" condos are located beside shanty towns, open sewers & cow paddocks.

Sucks big time

Definitely not an overstayer or border-dasher ????

Welcome to real thai life, now you know why many only rent and not buy a condo. Quiet today, 25 barking dogs and 2 karaoke bar open next week, 8pm to 6 am

Your coughing neighbor, easy to solve for 200 baht from a pharmacy.

1. Cough sirup that works!

2. Bronchitis tablet x 10
