Myanmar vehicle thieves working with Thai agents busted: Bikes spirited to "neighboring countries"

Daily News reported on the arrest on warrants of four Myanmar nationals in the Thian Thale police jurisdiction in western Bangkok.

 

At a press conference Pol Maj-Gen Noppasin Phoonsawat, met deputy and director of the vehicular crime unit, showed some of the evidence of vehicle theft.

 

Bikes were being stolen from many areas then spirited away to neighboring countries with the help of two Thai agents in Chonburi that have also been arrested.

The inquiry began when a Honda Wave went missing from Yommarat Sukhum Road in Bangkok. Police managed to get a lead from CCTV that led to the Myanmar gang.

 

Ten Honda Waves were recovered. An adapted Toyota vehicle with Chiang Mai plates was used to transport the stolen vehicles.

 

Many were brand new.

Tools were also taken into evidence.

 

Bikes were stolen from many areas in Chonburi such as Saen Suk, Samed and Don Hua Lor as well as several districts of Bangkok such as Prachacheun, Wang Thong Lang, Chalong Krung and Plat Pla Chai.
