The ‘no-nonsense’ judge set to face Donald Trump in the courtroom

The judge overseeing the first-ever criminal case against a former US president is described by colleagues as stern, smart and even-tempered.

Justice Juan Merchan, 60, also began his career in the very office bringing the charges against Donald Trump: the Manhattan District Attorney.

Born in Colombia, Justice Merchan has been an acting New York State Supreme Court justice since 2009 and is no stranger to complex or high-profile cases.

You probably see Jesus' face on pancakes, too.

  • Cue more racist attacks from the man who knows nothing else.

  • I am sure he will get a fair and honest trial too. Must be the only time I have ever agreed with anything you have said.

Do you really think I would ever believe anything that you say?

Just like I have not believed the 33,000 lies of the "chosen one".

Critical thinking is a wonderful thing!

The ‘no-nonsense’ judge

He'll have his work cut out dealing with the constant stream of nonsense that comes out every time Trump opens his mouth!

This is even for you a nonsense post. Mostly you have arguments, I tend to disagree with those, but now 'just look at his face '?

He has the authority of the court on his side.

Trump has zero experience of being held to account, he’s about to enter a steep learning curve.

It must be great to have the gift of clairvoyance.

Can you pick me a lottery number as long as you're here?

Again? He's faced a criminal trial before? The only thing that comes close is the Trump Organization trial in which the company was found guilty on 17 counts. But to be fair, there were only 17 charges laid against it.

I would like to see the look on his face when the judge denies bail.

It's a face of a great and loyal judge. I hope he takes the right path.

Very unlikely - considering this judge found against him previously and the left tv media are already celebrating live in tv this judges appointment

Actually, it was the jury who found against him. But if you mean that the judge made decisions that generally went against the legal issues raised byTrump's lawyers, he has this in common with virtually every civil and criminal case involving Trump since the 2020 election. Up to and including those communists on the supreme court.

Thanks for another irrelevant defense of your comments.

Do keep up. It's Marxists now as a diss in Fox-land. Communists is your father's paranoia.

Also: saying marxist makes them feel intelligent.

If you want to see stuttering and stammering at Joe Biden levels, ask them to tell the difference between marxists and communists.

Please don't confuse the Trump supporters, they are not at all very bright! They still think Trump won the election! ????

Sounds like a Marxist attack to me.
