I have no idea what they may be, the search box gives no reply, and I can't find any "points" indicated on my profile, though I'm sure I've acquired a few during my time.

 

What are they, where are they, and what are they for?

I'm pretty sure it's not to award me with a prize for my likes number.

When you receive a forum warning, the warning nearly always comes with 1 point.

 

For nearly all warnings, these points remain active for 3 years.

 

If a member accumulates enough warning points within a prescribed period then the moderating team may discuss whether or not that member should remain a forum member or be permanently excluded from the forum.

 

Permanent exclusions are rare.

Thank you for answering. Is there anyway I can see how many points I have acquired? It must be a substantial amount by now. I've been suspended so many times I can't remember the number.
