Thailand braces for scorching summer as El Nino brings climate change to forefront

It is hotter then usual. The cold season never came to Pattaya this year. Let's all pretend its got nothing to do with climate change.

When has it ever got "cold" in Pattaya? I can remember some nights when the temperature reached 18C, but on rare occaions and only the odd year. Nearly always the temperature is over 25C and it's never cold, ever. The last time I wore long pants was on a motorcycle at night in November back in about 2007.

The authorities are useless people with no idea about anything.

El Nino's are a natural phenomenon and have nothing to do with man made climate change and they only have their computer models to go on. What if their models are wrong

I think the dangers of man made air pollution caused by burning is far more dangerous than an extra degee of heat. But the Government does nothing.

It's relative. I grew up in the same latitude and therefore climate.

True. My wife feels cold at anything lower than 26C LOL... but most of the world would consider 26C to be a very warm summer night.

It's probably close to the average where I come from as it is in Pattaya.

I've heard of women enjoying a spit roast , but this is something else altogether. Puts mad dogs and Englishmen in the shade.

Looks like breakfast.
