Brian DONT DO IT!!! Its a cheap way of getting punters in to listen to the hard sell. Better to look up a cheap flight and just get your accom when there. My older brother was always going on these type of things. He didnt mind sitting through a half days presentation to get a cheap holiday but his wife hated it. These people can be very persuasive as well. I believe you are not allowed to sel travel or holidays on EBay, May be wrong so dont quote me, So they get round it by using the presentation method. My old Dad used to say " if it seems too good to be tue it probably is " BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!

Suggest you get your facts right !! Road, Rail and Plane tickets are offered on Ebay all over the world, also Hotel and complete holidays are also offered , some cheap deals are in connection with time share, others are tied up with expenive compulsory meal deals, Just Read THE SMALL PRINT, some of the budget flight deals on offer on EBAY!! are really worth bidding, lots of travel agents use Ebay to sell their wares :o Nignoy

I did a Google search and all it had was Ebay feedback and Ebay related things. What would seem to be their website does not work, and they've only been a seller since February.

The positive Ebay feedback isn't necessarily an endorcement. Folks are obviously commenting on prompt receipt of the vouchers, but not on the vacation itself. While it does not seem to be a timeshare since the properties appear to be regular resorts, the "introductory presentation about the benefits of online holidays" is without doubt a sales pitch of some sort.

I've never ever been to one, but I hear these are some of the toughest sales pitches you'll ever face. If both you and your partner can be firm, then might be worth it. If one of you has a hard time just walking out, you're in for a long day. It's not like saying no to a suit or tuk tuk ride.

They say if something is too good to be true it usually is.

Get your gf to check out some of the internet packages that are around, alss there are regular travel expos especially in Bangkok. My wife is a demon at this. The Thais like their 2/3 night packages and the ones I have been on are often amazing. I recently stayed at a resort in Ao nong where the rack price was £100 (english) a night for 3 night with collection from the airport and return, a free dinner, massage and a days tour. The bill was 6800 baht.

Much is dependant on when you are going. But this time of the year you should get great accomodation in many places for less than £100 for the week

Brianw, why dont you simply ask the seller on ebay ? Im sure they will understand and answer your questions the best they can. Coming on here your only going to get the usual advice from the negative clowns who think they know it all !

I am a seller on ebay myself and I actually forwarded a friend of mine to this holiday promotion, from what he tells me it all appears above board and ran by a travel agent in Phuket. Of course its a promotion and there will be a sales pitch, but then again so what ? Its simple marketing, if you dont like what they show you then you say no !

What you have to understand is Ebay is very restricted for the sellers, there is simply no option for buyers to go back and make comments on an item that has already had feedback left, you cant even delay leaving feedback as you only have so many days to do it. As an Ebayer myself I would love to see this and I have actually heard that they are looking into it.

Also a seller is not allowed to have any links or references on there items, such as a link to a website that may give additional information. Ebay set these rules, not the seller !

I have bought (and sold) some pretty amazing stuff on Ebay, Ebay has really opened up to the world in terms of what the internet savvy punter can now buy.

And yes, as a seller myself it annoys me when I see threads like this ! :o
