That's great if you've got a Thai ID to register with, the rest of us will just have to keep buying the physical tickets from the street vendors, that's not going to stop in the foreseeable future.

Maybe because they are too poor to buy them? And posters on here want to take 20 baht per ticket commission off them to make them poorer?  Just a thought ????

You are telling me a vendor cannot rustle up enough money to buy a " Lucky Numbers " ticket , I thought they were garaunteed winners...????

Lotteries should be banned, I remember when they introduced the National Lottery in the U.K. all the money was going to go to good causes. Turns out you had a 14 million to one chance to win the jackpot.

in general it’s the lower wage earners who buy lottery tickets thinking they can get out of the rat race, where does the lottery money go in Thailand and does it fund anything ?

in one country I worked the jackpot was a rollover several times and the government were concerned people were going with out food to buy lottery tickets !

I thought we had a clamp down on the sellers charging extra and they were told to sell at the official 80 baht price... also some online purchasing facility was available at the official price? All that gone away has it?

Yep, GF buys all hers online for 80b & apparently the guy doesn't take any commission from winnings. 

 

Of course when I want her to buy me a ticket it's 100b - "Business is Business"

So a person bought 6 tickets with the same number and won 36 million baht, while last month someone bought 19 tickets with same number and won 114 million baht.....

 

They must be pretty sure they have the winning ticket to buy 19 of the same number

My back of a fag packet maths says that if you bought a single Thai lottery ticket for every draw, it will take you 42,000 years on average to with that $178,000 prize. 

 

Pretty much any casino table game offers MUCH better odds, getting down to almost 50:50, but obviously not in Thailand.

 

For full disclosure.... I buy Thai lottery tickets, so I'm a muppet too.

Using that logic it should have taken me 100 tickets to win the 2000 baht for last 2 digits... but did it on first ticket bought ????

Nope, using that logic you should never buy another lottery ticket, as your winnings > spending percentage will almost certainly only ever drop going forward ????
