Minor Group, the Thailand-based conglomerate, aims to expand its business with the launch of two new restaurant brands in the coming months.

As part of this initiative, the company is set to open its Riverside Grilled Fish restaurant on the sixth floor of CentralWorld in July. This 200-square-metre dining establishment offers its customers Chongqing-style grilled whole fish with an array of sauces, including mala.

In 2012, the Minor Group acquired a 49% interest in Beijing Riverside & Courtyard, the Riverside Grilled Fish operator in China. Currently, there are over 140 Riverside Grilled Fish restaurants in China and Singapore. The opening in Thailand marks the third country for the chain, with a target clientele of young people and middle-class families.

Kreetakorn Siriatha, Chief Financial Officer of Minor Food Group Plc, a restaurant subsidiary of Minor Group, highlighted the absence of direct competitors for this style of eatery in the Thai market.
