webfact
Photo via Channel 8 by Petch Petpailin In a heartwarming act of kindness, a group of food vendors in Chon Buri province rescued an abandoned eight month old baby boy near a police booth. The baby is now under the care of the Department of Children and Youth. According to a report by Channel 7, the vendors bathed and fed the infant before contacting the police. One vendor heard the baby’s cries and spotted him crawling in front of the police booth. The baby’s parents were nowhere to be seen, so she rushed to take care of him. The vendor also noticed small red bumps all over the baby’s body, which suggested that he had been bitten by mosquitoes and other insects due to lack of care. A 63 year old woman named Namthip Permkateklang disclosed that she did not know the parents of the baby in person. However, the couple visited her house last week and asked her to care for the baby. She refused as she could not afford to raise the child.
