Pol Gen Surachate Hakparn, the deputy national police chief

Three officials of the Department of Special Investigation (DSI) have offered to surrender to the police this afternoon (Tuesday), to acknowledge charges of allegedly breaking into the residence of the consul-general of the Republic of Nauru and demanding bribes from illegal Chinese immigrants there.

The voluntary surrender follows the issuance of arrest warrants by the Criminal Court after they were charged with falsifying official documents, using the fake documents and malfeasance in office.

The DSI officials allegedly took about 10 million baht in bribes from the Chinese, who fled the country after their release by the DSI officials.

This is an old case going back a couple months    I believe there were 9 officials originally implicated so not sure what happened to the others. Maybe a follow up article by the news agency would be helpful as stories tend to just evaporate into thin air as another story takes it's place.

Maybe refer the case to the National Carpet Organization for "prosecution"?

In all probability that's the finest 3 officers surrendering that are left in the DSI ????
