On May 25th, Pol. Lt. Nipon Intragun from the Nong Prue Police Station, along with the Bright Rescue Team from the Pattaya City Fire Department and the Municipal Fire Prevention and Mitigation Unit of Nong Prue Municipality, brought firefighting trucks to suppress a fire incident at House in Soi Santisuk 3, Tambon Nong Prue, Amphoe Bang Lamung, Chonburi.

The incident occurred at a luxurious single-story villa built on an area of over 200 square wah (800 square meters). The property consists of two separate buildings and a large swimming pool. Smoke was detected coming from the first building, with flames engulfing its interior and spreading to the roof. Firefighters took more than 30 minutes to bring the fire under control using water cannons, reported Siam Rath.

Upon inspection, it was found that the office area and the adjacent storage room, along with the roof structure, were severely damaged by the fire, resulting in damages worth millions of baht. Fortunately, there were no reported injuries or casualties.

Mr. Sitthikorn Iemsungneun, a 26-year-old carpenter, was interviewed and stated that prior to the incident, it was during his lunch break, and no construction or remodeling work was being conducted. He had been resting by the poolside when he noticed a group of smoke rising from the roof and flames inside the office area. He immediately informed the homeowner and called for assistance from the authorities.

Mr. Borphat Muenkhan, a 46-year-old friend of the homeowner, mentioned that the said house belonged to a foreign friend who had built it for residential purposes. The construction materials, of high quality and imported from abroad, were valued at over 10 million baht. The construction had been ongoing for approximately 4-5 months but was not yet completed when the fire incident occurred.

At present, the authorities are still uncertain about the exact cause of the fire but suspect it may have been due to an electrical short circuit in the office area, where the electrical control panel was located, leading to the outbreak and spread of the fire. However, the police have invited a technician and witnesses present during the incident to provide testimony in order to determine the definitive cause and proceed with legal measures accordingly.
