OK, here it is, my 1000th post on ThaiVisa!

It is(where else)dedicated to the food subforum.

I've made a Beef Pie, my ingredients:

For the beef stuffing:

Beef, top round, 1kg

Onions, 750g

Carrots, 3pcs

Potatoes, 3pcs

Tomato paste, small can

I did not thicken it because the amount of onions and the potatoes.

Pie crust:

Flour, 500g

Egg yolks, 2pcs

Butter, 250g

Salt and a bit of water

Pie crust has been prebaked for about 20 minutes.

Covered with puff pie pastry(ready made from the supermarket, too lazy to make it)

Some pics from the cooking&baking:

I still have some smaller size ones in the oven made from the left over puffpastry, they are looking very appealing and as usual

I've cooked far too much.... :o

So, when you're living near by come and get some free samples for tonight's Wimbledon or Formula 1 watching.

They look great, congrats on the mile stone.

Too much carrot for me, I only like a taste.

Be great with a chicken filling too.

With some sweet corn added.

They look very yummy. Does your kitchen have air-con ??

Brought back memories of my Mum's cooking.

Cornish pasties are good, as is the humble sausage roll if home-made.

Congratulations on the 1000th post Gerd.

I see it's taken just on 4 years to reach the milestone. You must have a life outside Thaivisa. It obviously includes your cooking skills judging by those delicious looking pies :o .

Well done on the 1000! I wonder how many were in the food forums? You're a good chef! I have benefitted from your wisdom in the past. Thanks Gerd.
