Prayut To Be Held Accountable For His Deeds Over Last 9 Years: Pita

PRIME MINISTER-DESIGNATE Pita Limjaroenrat said today (June 6) caretaker prime minister Prayut Chan-o-cha is yet to be held accountable for whatever loss and damage which he may have caused to the people and country over the last nine years.

At a press conference, the Move Forward leader confirmed Prayut will undoubtedly be held accountable since he rose to power by way of the 2014 coup and ran the country as an unelected head of government up to now.

As army chief, Prayut seized power, named himself head of a military-installed government and exercised absolute power to cope with varied political, social and economic issues at the expense of democratic rule and human rights principles, among others. The coup leader-turned-prime minister was then named the unelected head of a Palang Pracharath-led coalition government following the 2019 election.

Sure, but before then.... fish will fly, dogs will talk, tuk tuk drivers will charge the correct fare, etc.

You can bet any (ill) deeds will be, as usual, brushed under the carpet.

He talks too much for his own good. Surely acquired new enemies since the election. The more he talks, the less chance he'll make it to PM. I like MFP but stop talking before you've even formed an actual government. Time will judge what you do - not what you say - assuming they even make it to government.

Tread gingerly Mr Pita...........

Yikes!  Let the games began!

Unfortunately it’s not the past. Prayuths bad decisions are still determining the present and the future. Junta appointed senators are just a small example.

so, this Pita who has not officially been name PM has started to take names and kick ass already?

this should go very well.

This guy is not good at playing the political game (and at this stage, he needs to). He should've sung any tune the senators wanted him to sing (about ALL topics) and after being made PM and forming a government, he could've taken steps to maje the changes necessary for Thailand to "Move Forward". He only needed 12 moths until the senators were out and then big consitutional changes could be made. It almost seems like he is intentionally throwing the fight ????

shares

and now this

you may not be far off.

This, and his blase attitude towards the shares question, indicates that he has secured what is needed for a direct confrontation with the military.

ie The co-operation of a significant %/component of that same military........a %/component that has realised which way the wind is blowing.

Putting wrongs to rights... is moving forwards not swelling in the past

showing that history will never repeat itself again now that the people have spoken and showing the military they do not belong in politics.

Not pathetic

But, but, but, I gave myself immunity from anything I did while in office.....it's right there in a bill I passed, says Prayut.

Cant believe the guy could possibly be that stupid.

Perhaps he knows the senate will stitch him up and is setting the stage for the aftermath.

Would hanging, drawing and quartering be appropriate?

But yes he should probably have waited until he was in power.

Get into power first and then talk. Leave the legal process to the judiciary branch.
