Ganoga Posted June 10, 2023 Posted June 10, 2023 Had the full series (5 shots) after a dog bite here, and 13 years later had to get two boosters after a monkey scratched me. You don't have to be bitten to get rabies. It can enter through the eyes, mouth, nose or open wound no matter how small. Could get it from an animal licking your hand and then touching these with your hand, or from flung saliva from the animals mouth. The vaccine is best for people who regularly work with wild or feral animals, where this could type of contact could happen and they wouldn't know it. It offers some protection. 1

Only takes one bite to your wife and does not realise, and you will be a Widower. Another assumption that they do not know what they are doing. I have no love for cats or dogs but it is the height of arrogance to critisise the views of those that do. If people on this forum do not like the way things are here in Thailand then they shouldn't be here. They should also remember it was foreign do gooders that brought about an end to the culling of soi dogs that used to take place years ago. The foreign press put the Thai government between a rock and a hard place but of course it is much easier to blame the first target that comes to mind. 2
