Suspected Thai serial killer Ms Sararat Rangsiwutthaporn has been dubbed Am Cyanide by Thai media after she was arrested in connection with serial instances of poisoning by cyanide. It is at the heart of the country’s biggest-ever criminal probe, with 80 or more charges to be filed against the woman with prosecutors on Friday. Ms Sararat is a prisoner at Bangkok’s Central Women’s Correctional Institution.

THE WIFE of an employee of the Provincial Electricity Authority (PEA) wept when told that her husband had died upon being electrocuted while repairing a power pole in Chainat province especially since she had a hunch of danger and had urged him to take a day off but he refused to do so, Matichon newspaper said this afternoon (June 12).

No rain forecast for most of Thailand in July

Despite the fact that it is now the rainy season in Thailand, no rain is forecast for most of July, returning in August. The Royal Irrigation Department has instructed its officials to adjust their water management plans to ensure optimum use of water and to maintain as much as possible in the reservoirs.

Egg prices steady rising due to supply shortage and higher production costs

Egg prices in Thailand are steadily climbing and have been adjusted five times between January last year and May this year, due mainly to increased production costs and unusually hot weather, which results in fewer and smaller eggs being produced by laying hens.
