webfact
Nakhon Pathom, Thailand - On June 13, 2023, traffic in Nakhon Pathom came to a halt when a beer-laden tractor-trailer overturned on the Malai Maen road near Nong Ngu Lueam village, causing widespread congestion and scattering its cargo across the carriageway. The trailer, registered in Prachuap Khiri Khan, was carrying a full load of beer when it tipped over, spilling approximately 2,520 cases of beer—worth at least 1 million baht—across the inbound lane to Nakhon Pathom city, reported Siam Rath. According to initial reports, the truck was driving along the Kamphaeng Saen–Malai Maen road when it lost control around the curve near Nong Ngu Lueam village. The driver was trapped in the cab as a result, sustaining injuries that included a broken arm. Emergency services had to spend over an hour extricating him before rushing him to the Nakhon Pathom Centre hospital. Natthathun Chaueanchom, 51, the head of the Nakhon Pathom Road Department, along with his staff and road workers, hastened to clear the shattered glass and beer debris from the road near Nong Ngu Lueam curve to expedite traffic flow. They estimated that traffic would return to normal in one to two hours as they were trying to clear the scattered beer crates which had obstructed the road. The cause of the accident is currently under investigation by the police. Further information is expected following the police investigation. Popular Post Paul Henry
Remember seeing a booze truck overturn in Melbourne years ago. I have never seen so many police cars at the scene of an accident. For some reason they all had the boot lids up and back door open. 1
BoganInParasite
About four and a half years ago came across a truck on its side with cases of large Leo bottles strewn all over the road, the 101 actually halfway between Nan and Phrae. Despite being early morning the was a large group of police on one side of the road/wreckage and a larger group of locals on the other. The wife and I agreed that both groups were likely wishing the other wasn't there so they could facilitate a cleanup.
